there are all those moments when you feel sorry for yourself, when in reality you should be ashamed that you complain about this when you yourself know nothing of loss or pain. those moments have a sobering effect that only lasts so long... then we tend to forget. so when you think something you have is tough, its probably insignificant to what someone has to do.
